This month's read

Me Before You by Jojo Moyes

Lou Clark knows lots of things. She knows how many footsteps there are between the bus stop and home. She knows she likes working in The Buttered Bun tea shop and she knows she might not love her boyfriend Patrick.

What Lou doesn't know is she's about to lose her job or that knowing what's coming is what keeps her sane.

Will Traynor knows his motorcycle accident took away his desire to live. He knows everything feels very small and rather joyless now and he knows exactly how he's going to put a stop to that.

What Will doesn't know is that Lou is about to burst into his world in a riot of colour. And neither of them knows they're going to change the other for all time.

Author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, who wrote Half of a Yellow Sun, has written a new book. Titled Americanah, it has just won the National Book Critics Circle's fiction award. Americanah is a novel about the immigrant experience in America. Maybe this can go on our list for a year from now, when it's out in paperback and more readily available in the libraries. :-)

I've added it to the possibilities list! ;-)

For all of us who love, love, love books, the Florida Antiquarian Book Fair is this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, at the Coliseum. I have family down for spring break, so I can't make it. But it sounds like a great place to pick up some reasonably priced used books. For more info, go to floridabooksellers.com.

For anyone who's interested, Stephen King is having a book signing Sunday, March 16th, 4pm, at Bookstore1Sarasota. You must buy his new book, Doctor Sleep; when you buy the book, you get a ticket to the book signing. Call the store or go to their website for more info.

One of my all time favourites. I read so many books but few stay with me. This is one story I will not forget any time soon.

Just started Me Before You, and really liking it so far. I got it on my Nook, so if someone wants to borrow it when I'm done, let me know. :-)

I don't believe it was a motorcycle accident. It was raining too hard for Will to ride his bike that day.
