Beers and Boardgames

Come join use for Beers and Boardgames at the Waldhorn! For this event we will have access to the main party room on the first floor of the restaurant and start an hour earlier than our regularly scheduled event. This is an age 21+ event. Participants should bring any games they are interested in playing and I encourage using the comments section to setup games and participants in advance. This meetup event is a great opportunity to meet the newest members of the Queen City Game Club as well as to introduce all members to new games. A selection of games will be available and feel free to bring your own favorites as well. Knowledge of the rules of a particular game is not required in advance to participate. It is assumed that the person bringing the game will need to spend some time teaching the rules to everyone else participating. The event will run approximately 4 hours.

Bob, we have some of your SmashUp cards and Alex, we have some of your Agricola cubes. Apparently the table absorbs game components...

Thanks, but I will be out of town. I should be able to attend on July 30. I appreciate you holding them for me. I thought I had checked carefully, but apparently not.

The puzzle board didn't stay together so the paper map was better. We killed the necromancer. As far as components, my only major gripe was the soot. I had heard about it from your podcast, but I didn't realize that it couldn't be completely cleaned.

The paper map was the same size as the board, and high-quality color print, so nothing lost really. And we left the extra copies of the rules we brought with us in the box for you.

I am having another craving for a conquest game. I'm thinking either Runewars, Eclipse, or Warrior Knights. Anybody interested?

RuneWars is a great game and I have the expansion. I don't know having it at this event, but I am sure we can get it out up north where we have more time.

I'll bring it in anyway. Suffice to say, I want an "investment" of a game. Ha ha.

Hi all, I'll have a mic in hand again for this event to ask another question for our podcast. Our question for this event is, 'What game are you most looking forward to being released at or near GenCon?" For some ideas of games coming out, check out the list here... http://www.boardgamequest.com/new-game-releases-for-gen-con-2013/
