I spend many hours preparing each piece, deconstructing a scanned photograph or image and digitally re-constructing into selected stencil layers which are then carefully cut. I use a amalgamation of acrylic, spray paint, ink and resins to create a vivid, engaging world of iconic portraits and landmarks. Whilst earlier pieces were sprayed on canvas, I have now moved onto different mediums - metals, woods and perspex sheet to give a more synthetic, industrial, polished feel. I try to make each piece a aesthetically pleasuring cocktail packing in ingredients like polished metals, rich resins, grinding gradients, intricate stencils and a large portion of urban mix. Hopefully resulting in the viewer being pleasured and always wanting more.
