RxJs - observables in JS

Reactive eXtensions (Rx) is a framework implemented in a variety of languages, one of which is javascript. In a nutshell, the framework makes it easy to handle event streams. Go look at to whet your appetite.

In this meetup, I go over some interactive examples of how the framework works, what I've found it useful for in apps I've built, and go over some of the pitfalls/pluses I've had when you start iterating. While Rx can be used on the server, I'll just keep things to the domain of UI since that's what I'm most familiar with. If you'd like some server examples, feel free to comment and I'll try to work some in.

Disclaimer: I've only just started using RxJs, and this presentation will hopefully present the need for reactive code in good client UI
