Friendly First Timers Paddle

Join us for a fun paddle on the lake behind Black Creek Outfitters! Beginner, intermediate, to advanced. All Levels Are Welcome!

The idea is to hit the water at 4PM for about hour to work on basic skills and learn how to paddle board. We will meet at the Black Creek Outfitters shop and paddle on the huge lake behind the store!

No Experience? No Problem! We gear this SUP Meetup to suit everyone's individual needs!

We will provide all the gear you need to enjoy your time on the water! $20 +tax covers all gear (board, paddle, leash). If you bring your own gear/board cost is $10 to join us ($10 covers cost to use the lake and the Instructors time).

The main focus of this paddle Meetup is to build the SUP community and have fun learning to paddle board in a relaxing setting!

Just show up and have fun! Remember, $20 +tax includes everything you need! Basic instruction included!

Must RSVP in advance to attend. Must know how to swim.

Hope to see you on the water!

Aloha,

Matt

The paddling was super. Enjoyed meeting everyone. Hope to be more stable on the board next time. Guess I better practice standing up on a bowl of jello.

Uhhhh does anyone know what the weather's supposed to be like tomorrow?

Temperatures should range from 40 to 60. We paddled our dragonboat at 43 degrees this morning. Wasn't bad, but we don't get wet. At least not very much. I would look for temperatures between 55 and 60 by 4 pm

It's gonna be a little chilly so wear some warmer quick dry clothes (workout or yoga clothes) other than a bathing suit. Feel free to send me a text if you have any further questions.

Never done this before - what do I have to bring / wear?

    January 18, 2014

Hey Rohini, most people who participate wear quick dry clothes (workout or yoga clothes), with a bathing suit underneath in case you get wet. Bring a towel. Feel free to send me a text if you have any further questions.

Due to spots filling up and being i've been before several times . Changed my RSVP to open a spot trying to get new people out. I will still be coming and I do not need any equipment. See you all there.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
