I went vegetarian 26 years ago and went vegan a year later.
I've always appreciated vegetarians because they help animals every day. But I didn't get serious about dietary change until I began to see pictures showing the terrible living conditions that farmed animals endure. So I began to read and learn more about the veg/vegan diet, and was shocked to learn about the terrible waste of grains and natural resources that's involved in meat and dairy production. I decided that I no longer wanted to be part of the problem, and that I would gradually shift to a vegetarian diet. Gave myself a year to make the change, and my plan worked out well. When I learned about the connection between dairy products and sinus and ear infections, I decided to stay away from dairy to see if it helped me avoid the 2-3 sinus infections I used to get every year. A profound new sense of wellness occurred almost overnight. I dropped dairy products completely and have had just one sinus infection in the last 25 dairy free years.
I went veg 26 years ago, vegan a year later. I've always thought highly of vegetarians & vegans because they help animals each day. I promote veg/vegan lifestyle through EarthSave http://earthsaveb... & Facebook , where I'm Earthsaverdon.
