I had lunch at the Tea House yesterday and spoke to Matt, one of the owners. He has some great things planned for us including a 10% discount and free dessert.
He also said that if we got 50 members, the entire restaurant is ours, but he will have to know by Monday if we can pull this off.
For now I am going to leave the limit at 30 and if the waiting list gets big enough to try for the restaurant, I'll open it up. The prices are CHEAP and they really want to please us. They're pretty happy that we sidetracked for Pan-Asian food from our regular Sushi diet. At first they looked at our website and thought we'd be looking for Sushi.
They are very personable people and the place is very cozy. I'd love to take it over just for us, so sign up and let's see what happens.
The Albany Sushi Club is now boasting over 700 members. I never thought we would get to this level, but here's for shooting for the 1,000 mark. Invite all your sushi loving friends to join us. We have some exciting plans for the coming year including a few non sushi events. We've done Make Your Own Sushi classes and have a new place that is prepared to offer us another one very soon. We have introduced our group to brand new sushi restaurants and it has kick started their popularity among sushi lovers in the community.
Recommendations, comments, criticisms are always welcome. Remember, this is not ALL about Sushi, it's about YOU, meeting new and old friends and having fun.
Get ready to please your palate and meet new friends.
