The Green Scene: What is a CCA & Why would we want an Energy Dist. in San Diego?

What if there were two light switches on your wall. One switch to get power from a corporate monopoly, the other from a community-owned, non-profit energy cooperative (CCA). What if that other switch created real competition, added real, quality jobs, boosted the local economy, and used more clean energy. What if that other switch created a greener energy grid, reduced our carbon footprint and helped lessen the effects of global warming. That other switch is the San Diego Energy District, the real alternative to business as usual. Join us and special guests, Lane Sharman and Bill Powers, to explore the costs, benefits and requirements to creating a CCA in San Diego.

Dear Peter, our group is from SDSU school of social work. We are interested in your organizational skills and developmental procedures regarding the upcoming green scene event 15 November 2012. We would like to know your organizational tactics and where you plan on going with community development after the above listed event. Thank you.
