Adam, Is not a most "green home" one that relys not on externally derived resources to sustain it's functionality?  I anticipate a future in which all the resources that we utilize in our daily lives will be locally generated. Having a vision of ultimate sustainability will perhaps give us a sense of a light at the end of the (dark petrolium) tunnel in these ecologically corporate-challenged times. Some of the doors to the liklyhood of local ubiquitous solar rooftops may be closing at this time with the corporate actions that are afoot in San Diego.  A wake-up call to all local green advocates is in order at this time.

ps. I am collecting materials to fulfill the vision of redesigning my home so as to model a glimpse of Ultimate "green" Sustainability.

Dear Meetup,
I have decided to change the settings on the mailing list. From now on,
any email sent through the mailing list email ([address removed])
has to be approved by me first. I am doing this to keep our meetup on
topic for you, our members. I apologize that political and off-topic
emails have been allowed to come through in the past and I will not let it
happen again. I appreciate your membership and desire to learn about and
share information on green homes.

I do welcome any suggestions about events, thoughts, or even promotions
that anyone has, but I will be rather strict in that it has to be clearly
on topic and about Green homes. I hope that everyone finds this agreeable
and will welcome your feedback on this matter.

thanks!

adam

ps. don't forget about the water harvesting and grey-water open house this
weekend!

LANDOWNERS AND OTHER INTERESTED PARTIES,
There is a very important Property Rights workshop in Alpine on Thursday
this week.  See below.  I strongly suggest that you consider coming to
this meeting.  It is on record that SDGE plans are to build another line
through North County if we allow them to build the line in South County
Inland.  See the attached map.  Agency approvals from the Forest Service,
BLM, Fish and Wildlife, Endangered Species Act, Army Corps. Of Engineers,
etc. will be much easier for the next transmission line if we let them get
the Agency approvals for the proposed Sunrise Powerlink.  SDGEs next
move (if they are successful in building this line) will be to file
another application to build another transmission line through North
County (same locations as planned before) to get their fossil fuel
generated electricity to the LA, OC, Riverside and San B marketplace.
Its all about money and profit for SDGE and its parent Sempra.
Hope to see you at the Property Rights Workshop.  Denis [masked])
