JBoss RichFaces is a JavaServer Faces (JSF) component library that makes it simple to build Rich Internet Applications with JSF. RichFaces provides a large number of out-of-the-box components with AJAX support and skins (themes) support. The session will introduce RichFaces and demonstrate how next-generation Web applications can be built using JSF and RichFaces without any direct JavaScript coding. Examples using a4j: and rich: tag libraries will be shown as well using using different component skins . Also, an example using JSF and Flex together will be shown. Eclipse IDE with JBoss Tools will be used to demonstrate examples
Speaker Biography
Max Katz is a Senior Systems Engineer at Exadel. He has been helping customers jump-start their RIA development as well as providing mentoring, consulting, and training. Max is a recognized subject matter expert in the JSF developer community. He has provided JSF/RichFaces training for the past four years, presented at many conferences, and written several published articles on JSF-related topics. Max also leads Exadel's RIA strategy and writes about RIA technologies in his blog, http://mkblog.exadel..... He is an author of "Practical RichFaces" book (Apress). Max holds a BS in computer science from the University of California, Davis.

Alok Daipuriait was a good presentation on capabilities of A4j and RichFaces. Helped clear my confusion about a4j and richfaces. The amount of code illustration was well packed in such small time.
