The max capacity of seating is 120 people. So assume there will be no spot for waiting list.

Google requires full name to pre-print badge. So if you use your full name in meetup, then your badge is ready for pick up when you arrive.
Otherwise, you need to go in the line to print your badge.

Hello fellow SVADs. I am a computer technician; a systems administrator familiar with Android development. Although not a Java programmer, I have written scripts, studied OOP and flashed Androids. This will be my first participation in a hackathon. My resources include a Windows 7/Ubuntu laptop, a Nexus 7 tablet, a Galaxy Nexus Android phone and some tools. I will be pleased to simply assist and observe on any team.

I'm looking forward to speaking to you all tomorrow about Android Wear, and seeing all the great ideas that you all come up with. I will also be able to answer technical questions about using the SDK and emulator, although it is important that you try to get everything set up before you arrive. Feel free to post pictures and comments to G+ and Twitter under the tag #AndroidWear so everyone can see what is going on at the event! My profile on G+ is http://plus.google.com/+WaynePiekarski and on Twitter it is http://twitter.com/WaynePiekarski ... see you soon!

Same issue here... No link in email. Any alternatives?

      June 13, 2014

    • Wayne P.

If you have previously registered for the Android Wear preview at some point in the past, the system will not send the email to you again by default (I went through and told the system to resend any emails requested in the last 24 hours that have already been sent before). But if you search in your GMail for the string "Android Wear Developer Preview - Sign Up Confirmation" you probably already have it in your inbox from before. If anyone still does not have this, I can fix it up.

      June 13, 2014

  • Tom -.

Should we grab lunch before the event, or will lunch be served at the hack?

    June 13, 2014

    • Wayne P.

We will be providing small snacks and drinks during the day, and a nice dinner at 6 pm. But there will be no lunch, so please eat lunch before arriving at the event.

Important: If you have an idea for hackathon and need team members, post as comments at this event. There will not be an official team forming process at the event. So build your team before 1:30PM. You can use the comments area as the discussion board.

    Or at our google+ community:
    https://plus.google.com/u/1/communities/117652301242323324573

Suggest you give your idea a number and short name, so people can recognize you and the idea so they can find you before 1:30PM. We don't manage your team number but don't duplicate.

    Example:
    #10-Bob-BrainWave# ...............................
    Needed: Designer, Developer, Cheerleader, etc
