Tech Career Expo - June 28-29, 2012 - Moscone Center - http://TechCareerExpo.com
Network with 47 market leading companies, including Sony, Visa, Microsoft, Big Fish Games, Netflix, eBay, Salesforce.com, Samsung Mobile, and more.
Many of the presenters seemed unprepared while on stage. I think a little more organization around the schedule and consistent timers for each demo team would have helped as well. I would love to help organize in the next demo night. Let me know if theres such an option for me.

Hi David, I assume the demo speakers will get a notification before the event, right? And about when?
June 27
This event is independent from Google IO. No IO ticket is required. FYI Moscone South Room #224. We have more than 15 companies signed up for demo so far.

@Linton Looks like it, I noticed David Cao is the host of a lot of meetup groups, and he likes to cross promote them.

Do you need a Google IO ticket to attend the Android Demo & Mixer? I'm driving up from Sunnyvale and don't want to waste a trip.

Confused... Is this the same event as http://www.sventrepreneurs.net/...
? I see the same time, same schedule, same venue, and same host (David). Am I alone not too clear about this one?

We welcome sponsors for bring food/drinks to the attendees, or better venue.

Hi, I managed to get a ticket to the I/O convention and would like to join this Meetup, is there any reason it's limited to 200 participants? It's going to be during the I/O anyway, so there's no reason for not letting every Android developer to join, no?

I just got a Galaxy Nexus for my birthday and at Costco they walk the phone back to the cell phone sales arena. Until then people had been buying them and selling them on EBAY without the V plan before Costco figured this out. Just taking them right home. Looks like the first version phone to me as I am a software guy, I don't care about the phone but only that it has 4.0. I am sure G I/O will be fun, enjoy.

I was at IO last year and I met a guy who bought a ticket from someone else and he couldn't get any devices. You have to show picture ID and the name on the badge has to match.

Cris@ Yup it actually happened. I get up at 6:45 in morning and have my 2 laptops and 1 tablet running with Google+ account logged in already. I refresh the pages around 10 mintues. Then only on one Laptop i am able to get one ticket only. So if this is the case..I can imagine that Google I/O can sell out in 25 minutes.

increasing the price and announce no free devices would have helped a lot... there's $2000 and $4000 ebay listings

So disappointed, why can't Google just host the event in Vegas like CES does? There is plenty of room and heck, double the price, and they could still sell out.
