Sessions' Description:

New Advanced Features in the Google Maps API (Mano Marks, Google)
The Google Maps API is the most used web API, on over 800,000 websites. Yet many people think of only putting a point on a map. This session will explore new advanced visualization techniques built into the JavaScript Maps API such as Heatmaps, Symbols animation, and links to Google Maps Engine, our new online spatial data serving platform.

Testacular (Vojta Jína,Google)
Introduction to Testacular - test runner that makes makes testing
JavaScript applications in real browsers frictionless and enjoyable.

Testing is not optional when one is building a JavaScript application
that must work across many browsers and devices. However executing tests in all of these various environments is hard. Testacular turns this typically pain-staking task into a piece of cake. It allows you to execute JavaScript tests in real browsers or devices such as your phone or tablet directly from the comfort of your terminal or your favorite IDE.

Before Google, Mano had an eclectic career that involved getting a Masters in History, a Masters in Information Management and Systems, and working as a data manager in NGOs for over a decade.

Vojta Jína is a big fan of open source and Test Driven Development. Originally from the Czech Republic, Vojta lives in California and works at Google, Mountain View. His goal is to make the development of web apps and testing more fun. Testacular is a result of this effort.
