Your relationship with Android: developer, business, learner?

Brand new. I'm comfortable with Linux internals and Java GUIs, so hopefully it will be an easy transition.

Do you have any interested subject can demo or present to the group?

I'm defining a precision-gps project, probably using an Android mobile platform and a web-service for postprocessing gps positions. This is intended for the GIS community which needs positions better than 1m. It will be a while before I can demo anything, but ultimately I'd like to pepper the SF Bay area with a network of inexpensive realtime base stations.

I'm a software engineer with a focus on GIS and location services. I've been working on OS kernels and database internals for quite a while, but geospatial is my passion.
