Does anyone try the promo code for Elance account? It seems not working

    • Arash Eskandari

Hi Charles, we have extended the promo code until Sunday, so you should not have any more problems using it.

I think it was great that we were able to see some great apps despite the speakers' not showing up. Great thinking on your feet, David!

Thanks to @Dan and @Dirk for the encouragement. I am glad that the meetup brought some value to you.

We will for sure enhance the effort for speaker management and will bring more good speakers.

Even with both speakers being no-shows (and I think blacklisting is a very good idea), this was a great meetup. Had some good conversations, discovered some excellent new cloud tools, and was even encouraged to give elance a look again. Thanks for organizing this David!

Good pizza, good beer. Learned something new. Made a new contact. One of the better meetups I've been to.

Big thanks for the 100+ people show up for the event tonight. And Elance is a great venue sponsor. Big apologize for the no-show of Sean Shakirov of RideAuction, and Joe Monastiero, Ludei Inc

I greatly appreciate the audience, So many people came to me to say "thank you" instead of criticise. Its a big lesson tonight. Appreciate Carl Stehle from Appception for stepping up.

I will work with all the organizers and helpers to tie up the speaker management and reminder process, and make sure this won't happen again. We will also create a black list for no-shows.

At same time, I also sense the needs for HTML5 content. I will spend more effort to make sure we have good content for HTML5 in the future.

    Thank you!

Thank you David for the opportunity to present Appception to the group. And to the audience for your patience with the technical glitches. Frankly, it was great to see such a large turnout for Mobile HTML5 topics. Naturally I am biased, but I really think it has a bright future.

I would be pleased to offer some type of workshop or training event on the subject in the future, and also provide a more in-depth look into using the Appception IDE to create HTML5 Hybrid Apps for mobile devices.
