Hello South Bay entrepreneurs, I'm new to the community but I am excited to be part of something cool. Mainly from my travels the last year abroad, I have seen many startling conditions in which people live in. Places in Asia where clean water access is a big issue, poverty is keeping people down. But also in developing cities the urban pollution is so harmful that no one should live in such conditions. It's really easy for entrepreneurs to isolate themselves from "their" problems while they sip on their Starbucks. I believe the choices we make as entrepreneurs will deeply affect the world. Which is why I believe we could use our collective energy to solve problems. Which is why social entrepreneurship is crucial; it creates business to address the needs in society where government might have overlooked. Fields like education, health, water and nutrition, human rights and other MDGs. I have experience in information technology, mainly as an analyst and a marketing coordinator.
Im 27 years old. I recently came back from traveling overseas the last year and a half. Now I am living in South Bay. I have lived in the East Bay for 4 years. I'm originally from Taiwan and moved to New York City when I turned 10.
