Fitness Device Startup looking for DSP cofounder

Hi.

Focus is a new company in fitness and exercise recognition. We currently have a prototype (4th gen) and an algorithm (2nd gen) that can recognize 10 exercises, the weight lifted, reps, sets, and rest periods at 95-99% accuracy. We also just won the Michigan Business Challenge (with the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan), beating 72 teams over 4 months.

We're actively looking for a full-time, DSP/pattern recognition cofounder and we're offering significant equity in the company. We’ll likely be located in the LA or SF area. This is a 52MM member market operating at $25B and that doesn’t include the $7.2B, 4.6MM member personal training market. We don’t just want to count, though; we want to completely and permanently change the exercise and physical therapy space.

Ideally but not necessary
+ 3+ years experience writing pattern recognition algorithms
+ Experience in shipping product or bringing product to market vs. research
+ Experience with sensor data and sampling, such as gyroscopes, accelerometers, etc.

If interested, contact:
founders(at)focusdigitaltrainer(dot)com

Thanks.
