Great discussion on how to bootstrap until you gain enough traction to go to an Angel or VC.

Lots more attendees this time. I guess funding was a popular topic! Bootstrapping seemed to be an uncommon preference, though -- many more going for Angel or VC funding.

I need to have an app made but I'm not a (good) developer and feel overwhelmed how to go about having an app done well yet affordably, if thats even possible. For an ecommerce startup.

If you can find a way to make money early, consider a contracting firm. A fixed investment in the $5k-$15k range can get you started making money, and even a bad developer can often tweak an existing design. Once you've got some money and a site you can tweak and play with, more options open up.

Very interested in this topic! I'm already starting this - I'm selling a book that doubles as survey and product research of my webapp audience!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
