Apple's World-Wide Developer Conference was June 9-13. There we met lots of people who were excited about the iPhone and many who were starting new companies to do iPhone development. At our June meetup, we'll have some of them introduce themselves and take questions in a panel discussion.
iPhone Startup Panel
Panelists include:
* David Abramson, Muse
* Steve Demeter, Demiforce LLC
* Ramin Firoozye, FrolicWare
* Rob Hunter, Scribular
* Mike Lee, Tapulous
At the start of the panel, each representative will spend 5-10 minutes presenting his/her company in any way he/she wants. This could include the team members, its funding, its target product, the status of its product, and what drew them to the iPhone platform. After this, I will ask a few questions on these and related topics and open up for questions from the audience.
Lightning Talks
After the panel we'll take a break and then invite "lightning presentations" and demos of works in progress that people would like to share. If you've got something, bring it and show off!
Sponsor
Special thanks to Peter Kazanjy at VMware for sponsoring our June meetup.
Start time
We'll open at 6:30 and start presentations at 7:00.

We get together monthly to share projects, opportunities, and how-tos related to developing for iOS. Experienced developers, newcomers, and people with ideas are all welcome. We've enjoyed presentations from investors, entrepreneurs, and experts in all sorts of relevant topics from user interface design to programming to marketing and business development. Each meeting usually contains a couple of fast-paced but deep talks and several demos. We don't do a lot of detailed programming instruction (there are lots of other resources for that), but instead focus on getting iOS developers and entrepreneurs together with each other and with the resources they need to succeed. Got an iOS project? Come join us!
Logistical note: On a typical meetup night, we open the meetup at 6:30 to give people some time to meet and mix at the beginning while we get set up for talks to start at 7. Thanks!
