Hinkmond's JavaFX Mobile Dojo

  • February 10, 2010 · 6:00 PM

Hinkmond Wong, JavaOne Rockstar, JavaME Champion, and JavaFX Mobile expert will be giving us a detailed talk on the state of the art in the mobile landscape. If you are interested in mobile development, this event will give you the answers. Note: Please give your full name on sign-in for Oracle event registration purposes. We also have some great prizes to give away, including:

  • An Oracle SPOT ($750 value)

  • An IntelliJ Ultimate Edition license ($249 value)

  • Technical books including Pro JavaFX Platform

  • Mini-USB Hubs and T-Shirts for everyone who walks in the door!

For those of you attending remotely, we will have a live video feed and the opportunity to participate remotely by asking questions. This was very successful for the first couple meetings, with some great chat conversation from JavaFX luminaries like Jim Weaver, Dean Iverson, and Jonathan Giles. Don't miss out on this opportunity to see it live! (please specify whether you are attending in person or virtually when you sign-up)

Very good ideas on how to write code for mobile devices, make them fast, and geared toward small scale screens and input methods. Thanks!

Please confirm the location for tonight. Meetup says it's at Oracle, but Stephen's note from yesterday said it was at Google.
