The Finer Points of Text Rendering in JavaFX

Please see here for a photo and directions: http://www.oracle.com...

Event Description

Text rendering quality is a recurrent theme in JavaFX mailing list. Many people agree that an application UI can't look professional unless text rendering look professional.

Unfortunately not everybody agrees what that means, leading to passionate discussions.

This session will represent the evolution of text rendering in Java FX to its current state based on native glyph rasterizers. Lastly, we will explorer mechanism to allow the user to tune JavaFX text rendering.
