Thousands of Merchants utilize our solutions to transact sales via the internet to fully automate their order acceptance process. We offer our Merchants a complete spectrum of payment types, maximizing their sales reach and order conversion for worldwide sales. Payment types include general purpose bank cards and pinless debit cards, country-specific bank cards, bank transfers, direct debit and electronic check.
The Company serves many of the top online brands and thousands of small to mid-sized merchants. Approximately 1 out of every 8 dollars spent online in N. America comes through CyberSource, and we are growing worldwide. CyberSource is a profitable, public company on an aggressive growth track. We are approximately 200 people, drawn from a mix of technology and financial services, with the heart of a start-up.
The Database Engineer will have the opportunity to design and implement our performance, OLTP production databases as well as working closely with our product development team to define and implement our data warehousing strategy. We currently process millions of transactions per day and handle very large amounts of data. Over 15,000 customers worldwide, including some of the largest online retailers and merchants depend on our services to process payment transactions and it is imperative they have the ability to efficiently and securely view and manage this transaction data.
? 5+ years experience, including a minimum 4 years experience in Database Engineering role.
? Expert knowledge of Sybase databases and related technologies.
? Previous experience managing large volumes of data across multiple databases. Experience within high volume, real time transaction processing environment is strongly preferred.
? In depth knowledge of database schemas, replication, stored procedures and SQL is required.
? Knowledge of Data Warehousing and related Data Warehousing tools.
? Knowledge of Java, C/C++ programming and/or Unix is preferred.
? Experience with MySQL is a plus.
? Superb written and verbal communication skills.
? Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline is required. Master?s degree is strongly preferred.
