Are you a serious MySQL guru who has experience working in the gaming industry, or just passionate about playing your favorite MMO after work? Slipgate Ironworks is looking for a talented and motivated MySQL Database Architect/Administrator to help build out and manage our MMORPG database systems infrastructure. If you are a MySQL star and understand the challenges of a very large production MySQL cluster environment, can manage replication, understand redundancy and the needs of a 24/7 environment then please respond.
Your skill set needs to include a solid and in-depth understanding of Linux systems administration as it relates to MySQL, and the inner-working of MySQL itself. You should be the type of person who keeps up to date on MySQL security, bug fixes and developments and enjoys working with replication, upkeep challenges, designing and reviewing database schemas and usage. You need to have vision for how these technologies apply in an online MMORPG gaming environment with always-up and massive secondary data mining requirements.
