When the gears of a motor shift the role of transition brackets are important in ensuring a smooth ride as the car accelerates. When managing a startup business there are methods that can be used to achieve the ramp up speed. The traditional approach to business; a good plan, solid strategy, and exhaustive market research are not gears that guarantee the likelihood of success for a startup. Operating in an environment of extreme uncertainty there are other gears like build-measure- learn that can test an idea into a potential product or service that a customer embraces. . The Lean Start Up revolution has gears that provide ability to test the potential of a product in the market while building a business structure. Utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodology is no longer for taking the fat out of a production businesses but now provides the approach to managing a gears that can accelerate the path for startups.

Nancy Franklin is the Principal Partner of Superior Compliance Solutions, LLC. She has over 40 years' experience in business ranging from startup, nonprofits and corporations. Her leadership development and experience in business started as a youth working in family businesses and attending 4H nonprofit organization. Her formal educations in business and engineering began in New York and completedher BS in MIS at University of San Francisco.
During her 26 year tenure with a Fortune 100 company she lived in 5 states and held a variety of global business and philanthropic management positions. In addition she has spent moonlight hours building and managing her own businesses.
Nancy believes strongly in giving back to the community. She has served in manyorganizations like US Girl Scout leader, Boys & Girls Club of America, Santa Clara County CASA, and as Youth Mission leader. Currently she serves on Advisory Board for the Business Technology Program at Center for EmploymentTraining and Jubilee Marriage Ministry leadership team at her church. Nancy resides in San Jose, California with her husband. She especially enjoys spending time with her 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
