[Startup University] The Gears of Business

Hanhai Startup University: The Gears of Business

Ready for your startup venture? Starting your new business? Come to join our Startup University workshop series. Our workshop is presented by Nancy Franklin. She will be talking about the gears of business that you need for your startup companies and your business.

When the gears of a motor shift the role of transition brackets are important in ensuring a smooth ride as the car accelerates.  When managing a startup business there are methods that can be used to achieve the ramp up speed.  The traditional approach to business;  a good plan, solid strategy, and exhaustive market research are not gears that guarantee the likelihood of success for a startup. Operating in an environment of extreme uncertainty there are other gears like  build-measure- learn that can test an idea into a potential  product or service that a customer embraces. . The Lean Start Up revolution has gears that provide ability to test the potential of a product in the market while building a business structure.  Utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodology is no longer for taking the fat out of a production businesses but now provides the approach to managing a gears that can accelerate the path for startups.
