Finally, apart from the conversational meetups, would you be interested in attending additional meetups to celebrate things like Midsommar, Lucia, or to a showing of a Swedish film?

Absolut!

Would you be willing to pay a small fee at each Meetup to cover running costs?

sure

Meetings are usually held in the evenings. The conversation meetups in a cafe are weeknights and nights out for music weekends.. with the occasional Swedish film whenever they're on. Is there any evening you would be unable to attend?

No specific day of the week but alternating weeks I've got my son, so even numbered weeks are best.

On a scale of 0 (total beginner) to 10 (completely fluent), how much Swedish would you say you knew? (If you're unsure, just have a guess!)

written 6 speaking 3 - hopefully this group will be just what it needs! But improves when I'm in Sweden

Have you ever studied Swedish before? If so, where did you study and how long did you study for?

Two years with library books and two years at Glasgow Uni evening classes (Svenska 2 och 3)

Introduction

I've been studying swedish and visiting friends in and near Stockholm for four and half years, but sweden-loving camraderie and speaking practice is what I've been missing, so this will be underbart. :-)

What Sabrina A. is saying about this Meetup Group

It is friendly and can accommodate people from beginners to fluent and for Swedophiles and anyone wanting to learn the language it is much better than just studying on your own.
