Finally, apart from the conversational meetups, would you be interested in attending additional meetups to celebrate things like Midsommar, Lucia, or to a showing of a Swedish film?

This would be good. I also have a collection of Swedish DVDs.

Would you be willing to pay a small fee at each Meetup to cover running costs?

Yes

Meetings are usually held in the evenings. The conversation meetups in a cafe are weeknights and nights out for music weekends.. with the occasional Swedish film whenever they're on. Is there any evening you would be unable to attend?

No answer yet

On a scale of 0 (total beginner) to 10 (completely fluent), how much Swedish would you say you knew? (If you're unsure, just have a guess!)

5

Have you ever studied Swedish before? If so, where did you study and how long did you study for?

Yes. 105 hours in 1977. 2 years evening class in Edinburgh and some private lessons.

Introduction

I lived in Sweden in 1977 and learnt Swedish then. My son is married to a Swedish girl and they have 2 children. They live in Sweden. I go to Sweden at least once a year and I like to be able to use the language when I visit.
