"This is huge huge news, the future of all Apple development." - John Gruber
WHO WE ARE
On June 2 2014, in a darkened hall at Moscone West, a new programming language was born. We followed three days after. Welcome to Swift London!
First and foremost we are a collaborative community, for developers of all abilities, experienced or new, who want to learn about Swift and understand what it means for the future of iOS and OS X development. We are run by enthusiasts, not-for-profit, independent and unaffiliated.
Everyone is welcome, from all backgrounds, no London residence required (some have asked).
WHAT WE DO
We hold a developer event every two weeks, alternating between a Talks night on the third Tuesday, and a practical Hands On session on the first Monday of the month. We also arrange workshops by special request. Follow us on Twitter for announcements.
If you want to come along and discuss ideas, or get involved, all are welcome to join. Hopefully we can learn together, support each other, and grow something special.
For the first time in years, we're all beginners again. Let's begin together.
We're looking for speakers, bloggers, and tutorial makers who'd like to beta test their ideas on our community. We're also looking for interesting little Swift projects to play with in our Hands On sessions. Have a specific problem you'd like to work on with others, or an idea for a group challenge? Come along and we'll help you make it happen.
If you're interested in collaborating we'd be very happy to hear from you.
