Venue Change: Rushcutters Bay - Picnic and touch football

A picnic and friendly game of American touch Football - no skill required (especially if you're one of the 30 people just having a social picnic and watching). We can hang out in the Domain park all afternoon to enjoy the nice weather and enjoy byo beer and snacks. Wear a black and/or white shirt so we can easily split into teams.

Two games of 5-6 a side worked well. I also thought everyone mixed quite well and had a good time.

Worked out to be a great venue! Easy to find everyone. Good atmosphere!

I've added some photos from today, but I've got more on my camera to wade through. Some are a bit blurry, but it's the best I could do to capture the action without a longer lens. Tag yourself, add awkward captions and share them with your mates back home.

If you're planning to play football, it's best if you wear either a white or very dark/black shirt (or even better bring both) instead of an ambiguously neutral color. Also FYI, it's legal to drink alcohol at the picnic.

I added a picture of the map with an American flag where the game will be. When coming off New South Head road (the way everyone will get to Rushcutters) you just walk straight in towards the water and we'll be in the most obvious place straight in. I'll tie an American flag to the light pole as well. If it rains during the game there is shelter in the bleachers of the cricket ground which is to the left on the map of where we'll be playing football.

I popped by to check out the "light rain" plan as it's pretty grey here and noticed the venue changed. I haven't been to Rushcutters Park before. Any tips on where to look for everyone this avro?
