Kickball & Cornhole - Memorial Day Picnic (byo drinks)

We're having another picnic with a kickball game and cornhole to celebrate Memorial Day.

http://www.facebook.com/events/372422329534548/

Bring your own drinks and a picnic item to share. We'll be in the park right by the water. See the American flag on the map.

Even if you don't want to play kickball, half the crowd will just be having a picnic and playing cornhole (bean bag toss).

Rushcutters Bay Park has free parking and is about a 10 minute walk from both Kings Cross Station and Edgecliff stations.

The closest bottle shop is Vintage Cellars (125 Bayswater Rd) or in Kings Cross if you're coming from the station there. It'd be good if someone can grab ice from the BP across the street. I'll probably bring my big cooler
for everyone.

Lest we forget,

Benjamin

More kickball & cornhole in 3 weeks, March 9th. I just created the facebook event so RSVP.

A very social game of boozy kickball with our American, Canadian, and international bootcamp friends. Some will jokingly be out for blood in the North/South rivalry, but it takes no skill or effort to stand in the outfield with a beer in your hand and nor does it to mingle on the sidelines while having a picnic. https://www.facebook.com/events/750651074946924/

Cricketers took our spot by the water so we're 50 yards away right by the corner of New South Head Road and New Beach road with an American flag on the soccer goal post.

If you wear a shirt/hat of where you're from it makes it easier to meet people from the same area.

I'm brining 5 additional. One straight from South Carolina, myself from Tahoe/Chicago, and three Aussie friends.
    Let the games begin!

    Kickball Rules
-Same rules as baseball unless otherwise stated
    -3 outs per inning
-3 foul balls and you’re out
    -Get someone out by
-catching a kicked ball in the air
-throwing the ball at a runner not on base
-tagging a base before a forced runner reaches the base
-tagging a base after a caught ball (fair or foul) before runner tags base
-If a foul ball is caught runners must tag up, but CAN run after tagging up
-If a foul ball is NOT caught, runners cannot advance/run
-No leading-off. Runners must be on base when ball is kicked
-Bunting is legal—but fielders can also come in as close as they want
-if a runner is on second and there’s a runner on first, it’s a force out if 3rd base is tagged before you get there unless there is a ball caught in the air.
-if a runner is on second and there’s NO runner on first, there is no force out at third.

      -trash talking is very legal
-teams will be divided as per the Mason Dixon line during the “War of Northern Aggression”
-2 hand touch and blitzing is allowed only after 5 Mississippi’s
