Free Fitness Bootcamp - Hyde Park to Mrs Macquarie's chair

I run a free fitness bootcamp every Wednesday in Hyde Park (50% American), and this Saturday I'm going to hold a special session for the America Expat group (although feel free to join the regular Wednesday sessions as well).

We’ll be starting in Hyde Park and doing a scenic mobile bootcamp down to the stairs by Ms. Macquarie’s chair (near the Opera House and Harbour). The bootcmap will be 120 minutes, but we'll take some breaks so you'll be able to survive.

Send me a message for more details or join http://www.meetup.com/The-Sydney-Bootcamp-Fitness-Group/

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Bootcamp cost?
Bootcamp sessions are free - it's just for fun and to stay fit. This isn't a business.

What should I bring?
As we meet in Hyde Park with no changing or storage facilities you should come in workout clothes you are happy to get a little dirty. Some people bring bottles of water or bags, but if you do I recommend keeping it light because you'll have to jog with it short distances between exercisses.

How fit do I need to be?
Whilst we cater for a range of fitness levels you should be of at least average fitness. As a test you should be able to complete a plank for at least a minute be able to do 20 push ups and jog for at least 5k (although we won't be doing that in the session).

What exercises do you do?
The sessions last about an hour and include aerobic fitness routines with running, sprints, starjumps etc. We also concentrate on core body strength with an array of core exercises and sit ups. Strength and stamina exercises are also undertaken with push ups, dips etc.

How many people come?
A core group of around 7 people meet most Wednesdays. In addition we have a number of people who dip in and out maybe coming once a month or when time permits. We have space for a maximum of 15-20 people per week.

How do I find you?
Meet in Hyde Park by the ANZAC monument next to the reflection pool (Liverpool St side of the park). We’ll be standing in the light between the monument and the reflection pool. at 6:30pm each Wednesday. Look for a group of people dressed to exercise adn come introduce yourself.

    Hey Ben,
Thanks for organizing the boot camp yesterday. Sorry we had to bail halfway. I had a hammie cramp up. Lame.
    See you around the traps.
    Cheers,
    Jon

My number is 0431744564. We'll spend the first 10 minutes or so exercising in Hyde Park before moving on. Let me know if you're running late.
