I grew up outside of Superior, Wisconsin but have also lived in Minnesota (undergrad at U of MN), Hawaii, Alaska, and Georgia (grad school at UGA).
I have been here for perhaps a month and will be staying for the foreseeable future. My current postdoc position lasts another 3 years, so... we'll see!
In terms of living abroad, it has always been Australia. I studied abroad in Melbourne in college, and spent the last 10 months living in the Northern Territories at a field research station before my recent escape to Sydney.
Good question. Bouncing around a bit for the time being while I figure that out. At the moment I'm in Hunter's Hill.
I moved here recently, am finding I don't know anyone, but imagining that I can't be the only one! I currently do ecological research and teach marine bio to U.S. study abroad students, and I enjoy snorkelling/SCUBA, hiking, travel, dancing, etc.
