October Touch Football Game & Picnic
Monday, October 11, 2010 2:31 PM
We've decided to schedule another game of touch football and picnic for Sunday, October 24, at 2:00.
There is no skill required to play - previous games have been fairly laid back and have been more about meeting new people, enjoying the great weather, and having fun. Along those lines, even if you are not a Yankee, but are interested in giving American Football a go, you are more than welcome to join as well!
For those who don't want to play, but still want to come out and enjoy a day in the park, we'll be combining the game with a picnic. Bring your favorite snack food and/or something to drink - enough for you and a mate, and we'll share. Don't forget your camp/lawn chair and/or a picnic blanket!
We'll be in the northern half of Hyde Park, in the large open area/field that borders College Street and is halfway between St. James Road and William Street. There should be a thumbnail of a map above - the X shaded in purple is where the game will be located. If you are not quite sure how to get there, feel free to email me and I can give you more detailed directions. Also, if you are unable to find us on the day of the game, you can call me at[masked] or Ro at 0432590716.
The game will start shortly after 2:00 PM?.at the end of the game we'll walk a few blocks over to the Tilbury for a few beverages. For those of you who are unable to make it to the game but would like to meet up afterwards, we should be getting to the Tilbury around 4 or so.
Hope to see all of you there!
