Welcome to The Greek Parea !

We are a fun-loving and warm bunch of people who love the Greek way of life. We treasure family values;  we love good company, delicious food and great coffee;  we’re big on traditions and love to party;  we enjoy the outdoors and most of all, we’re warm and passionate.

We host a variety of Greek-themed events and to keep things interesting, we host other types of social and cultural experiences. It's all about getting out and doing fun things as a group.

Events include brunches, dinners, social drinks, movie nights, music nights, walks, picnics, festivals.

The venue and locations will vary depending on the type of event, focusing within the Sydney metropolitan area.

Some events have lucky door prizes, give-aways and raffles.

Everyone is welcome – no matter your heritage, age, marital status, gender, sexual orientation.

We appreciate suggestions / event options which may be good to do as a group.  We're also open to business sponsorships and collaborations.

By joining or continuing to be part of The Sydney Greek Club, you agree to follow the Group Rules:

  1. Profile Picture - All prospective members must have a photo showing their face on their profile before we can approve their request to join. Members must continue to have a photo showing their face on their profile to retain membership. This will make it easy for us to recognise members at events and also enables us to create a safe and positive community. People who don't meet this requirement will be removed without notice.
  2. Fees - There is no joining fee. A non-refundable booking fee is charged for each event to cover the Meetup fees of AUD$55 per month plus other expenses of running the group (eg eftpos, surcharge and bank fees, lucky door prizes, giveaways etc) and varies depending on the time and effort involved to organise the event (most booking fees will be between $5 to $15).
  3. Payments - All payments are made via direct credit to the nominated bank account. No cash payments or payments via other systems (eg payid, paypal etc)
  4. RSVP - Some events may have a maximum limit of people so act quickly by clicking ATTEND and secure your spot by making your payment by the RSVP end date. If yout haven't paid by the RSVP end date, your RSVP will be changed to "not going".
  5. Cancellations - If your circumstances change, please edit your RSVP as soon as possible so your spot becomes available to others on the waitlist.
  6. Refunds – The booking fee is not refundable. Any others payments may be refundable depending on the type of event and the cancellation policy of the venue / provider. Any refunds will be made to bank accounts only. No cash refunds or refunds by other payment systems eg payid, paypal etc.
  7. Conduct - Members are expected to be respectful and courteous to others. There is a no tolerance policy on harassment, bullying, vilification, gossip or other types of unacceptable behaviour.
  8. Permission - By attending, you give permission for your photo to be taken and shared on our Meetup page and social media. If you don't want to participate, then simply excuse yourself when photos are being taken.
  9. Liability - Members attend events at their discretion and are responsible for their own and their guests' safety, wellbeing and belongings during all events. Organisers and hosts do not accept any liability whatsoever.
