I have been thinking of joining a writers group for years but never been brave enough. Can you tell me something about the format of the meetings as I am thinking about coming to the one on the 28th of October.

Hi Chris, this is another Chris, known as 'Oz' over here in England. At the age of 65 I'm part way through a Masters degree in Professional Writing at Falmouth University in Cornwall, some 440 miles from 'home' in West Yorkshire.

I'm currently researching the voyage of the Lady Penrhyn as part of the First Fleet in 1787 with a cargo of some 160 female convicts. I'm writing a novel, telling the tale of a fictitious character using accurate information.
