1 meeting: STATSPACK review

This is very first meeting from series of meetings dedicated to STATSPACK/AWR performance report review.

STATSPACK/AWR reports are one of the main performance diagnostic tools that every DBA should master. As STATSPACK is free option we will start with it for the first few meetings and then will switch to AWR reports.

We will provide a no name report for common review. However each DBA is welcome to bring any reports to share and discuss it with others.

During the first meeting we will commonly start a detailed review of a STATSPACK report sharing our experience how and what details we pay attention to. We will dive in any area for the report that we decide is important to discuss. We will continue the discussion from the place we stop on next meeting.

Just to raise an interest to the event I (Yury) would like to mention that:
a. I have used this STATSPACK report review for conducting DBA interviews.
b. We have run a few of such sessions internally at Pythian is have had a very interesting discussions and learning opportunities.

Don't miss an opportunity to learn from others and share your experience.

Excellent meeting. Thanks heaps to Pythian and DBVisit for their continued sponsorship of these events!
This one was outstanding and I personally thank every single one of the attendees for making it so interesting. A lot of food for thought, even for long-time Statspack wolves like yours truly. And a lot of ideas on how to approach the next event on this subject.
