Pixar storytelling magic! writing short films

Karel Segers from the Story Department will be hands on deck, leading us for this thought provoking meetup session to start up the new year.
Learning from successful models
Academy Award winning studio Pixar set a benchmark in storytelling. This session will look in to what makes their stories, long or short, so appealing and successful and how to apply that concept in to your live action or animation idea.
Presto
We'll be watching and analysing this short that screened along with Wall-E in cinemas. It is available on the DVD release of the movie. Presto was nominated for the 36th Annie Award for Best Animated Short Subject and was also nominated for the Academy Award for Animated Short Film.
Please feel welcome bring along any scripts you'd like us to read through at the meetup. Loglines and Step outlines welcome as well.
