Tinkercad 101

Tinkercad is back and we're teaching a class on it!

For those of you who do not know, Tinkercad is this awesome web based 3D CAD program. It was slated to go offline later this year. However, Autodesk just bought it and it will remain online. Yeah!

It is by far the easiest to use 3D CAD program that we have encountered. Additionally, you can export the file to a format that can be used on the Shop's 3D printers.

About the Class:
This is a beginner class so we will be taking you on a tour of the program and we will be doing some tutorials together.

Before you come to the class you need to sign up for a free Tinkercad account here.

You should bring a laptop, a mouse is also advised as it makes navigating Tinkercad easier.

About the Instructor:
John, a self-taught Tinkercad user, created and printed every item from the original Legend of Zelda game. He learned a lot of tricks and techniques for using the program along the way.

He is currently blogging about his adventure here: http://hyrulefoundry.wordpress.com/
