Open Hack Night-Open Discussion Makerspace/Hackerspace for Reading PA

Join us and Co-host: Amy Buser)

Come on down to the T.E.A. Factory where we will discuss creating a Make/hacker space in Reading, and also spend some time on open hack/ open make. If you are currently working on something and need a little help tweaking or getting past a speed bump maybe one of the like minded folks can help.

A hacker or a maker space utilizes peer to peer sharing so that amazing people like ourselves can get things done. Sharing skills and knowledge is awesome way to spend time especially if you create something.

If you have an interest in seeing a Make/Hack space come to fruition in Reading, or if you have an interest in sharing your awesomeness, or getting help from someone else's then Please Join us first Thursdays at 6:30PM.

Thanks to Rich for bringing his Rep Rap and demoing 3D printing. Rich built his 3D printer from scratch - with help from the Busers.
Also saw a mini quad fly around TEA - thanks again to Rich for bringing his latest toy.
Russ did a fabulous presentation on the android software he developed with his team from PSU. Amazing way to share your music, photos, videos across devices with ease. Genius!
We talked more about a maker space in Reading. Moving forward with possibilities...
    See ya all next month!

I'll be bringing my kids ages 8 and 10. I'd be interested in showcasing some of the kids' programming languages we've been working on: Scratch and StarLogoTNG.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
