The Tel Aviv Entrepreneur Meetup - April

This location is shown only to members

Proud to announce the new Tel Aviv Entrepreneur Meetup!

Sponsored by: Alkalay & Co. - http://www.lawyers-ip...

Hello fellow entrepreneurs!

I'm proud to announce that after a long break we're getting together again on April 26 (Sunday morning) at 10:00.

Be quick to RSVP as we have limited space and high demand.

This meetup is going to be well worth the wait. The agenda includes:

1. Networking and card swapping

2. Gilad Nass of "Kalkalist" will talk to us about technologies that will make or break in 2009/2010. Mr. Nass was a senior analyst and director of emerging technologies at IDC Market Research, and currently writes for Yedioth Achronot's "Kalkalist" magazine.

3. Gadi Guy (writer of this message) will give a talk on how to leverage the immense power of social networks (such as Facebook and Twitter) to promote your own web-site or blog and capitalise on the traffic. Gadi will cover new technologies such as Facebook Connect, Twitter API, Open Social, OpenID etc., and talk about how this new trend will revolutionise the web.

4. Eli Lopian, CTO of TypeMock, will tell us about his own experience as a successful entrepreneur, how he started out and how he overcame the challenges along the way.

5. Moti Aloni, one of Israel's leading business coaches, will tell us about a new initiative to bring business coaching to entrepreneurs at various stages of their careers.

6. Rachel Alkalay of Alkalay & Co. Law Firm will talk to us about intellectual property - how to protect your own assets and how to avoid infringing on other's. This is a must-hear lecture for anyone who makes a living on-line.

I disagree with what Janet Sack said: "Integrity was mentioned by the final speaker. In English, this word also means HONEST. First, every meeting up to this point has been in English."...I've been to two of the meeting held by this group and both were in Hebrew...its a meetup that's being held in Israel by Israelis for Israeli audience in mind (and anybody else that would like to join)...Explicit notice should be made for meetups NOT in Hebrew...

Some excellent speakers but a few to many.. There was not enough time to do Q&A and also to really understand one thing in depth enough....some interaction/hands-on activities would have been a plus.

Thank you Gadi for this meetup. I thought that there were too many speakers and not enough time or organised way for people to meet each other. i think more time for actually meeting the people of the group would make it more beneficial to all/ me. i think that there should also more general euntreprenurial ideas and speakers and not just focused on the technology aspect of business. thank you and i am looking forward to attending the next meeting.

Idea was great, but the administration - so/so. I wish the agenda, including timeline, would have been sent in advanced and/or presented at the beginning of the day. I had to leave in the middle because it was way too long than I expected

החומר המקצועי די טוב וכן ההרצאות אך לדעתי הרבה מגיעים במטרה לעשות נטוורקינג ואין לכך תמיכה מהצוות וחבל

Not all those interested in entrepreneurship are necessarily interested in webs or the internet. I think that there should be greater diversification. Having said that, I think that Gadi did a great job in bringing together such a good set of speakers and such a large audience. Thanks

Good choise of topics, a bit too long... Beit Zionei America a good place, convinient with good parking.
  • Igor Nusinovich
Very interesting lectures, well organized. Thank you!
  • Chen Lahav
in the future, i would be happy to see live examples of entreprenuers from the industry, sharing there experience and thoughts. i felt that the lectures were to general to cater any specific interests.

Very interesting speakers. Very packed schedule. Could have even split into 2 separate meetings! Would have loved more time for meeting others who attended!

it is extremley important to have name tags in networking events...it's lacking kinda missed that point. the venue was ok, too much noise and people coming and going, that disturbed the talks. gilad nass talk was great, i left afterwards, so i can't comment on other speakers... thanks for organizing this meetup,

Gadi's lecture's and the first from IDC were great. Alaklay's lecture was efficient but not appealing. Enterpreneur's lecture was an example of how not to do things. which is interesting by itself. Overall it was a very good experience

I think the first Talk by Gilad Nass was a bit to much for much of the audience...I come from a technical background so it was in my field but it seemed to be a very specific topic (at least the majority of the talk) and got people a bit dowsing off. Otherwise I thought it was very interesting, with empeshis on the last talk by Moti Aloni...I think the guests should be directed to stricktly ask questions only at the end (and not personal inqueries as its not the place and it wastes others time)...

I was in waiting list. I got approval to come at 09:59 - the meeting was held at 10:00 :-(
