Tacoma IBD Meetup June 4th

June's meetup is going to be... absolutely awesome!!

Okay, okay our enthusiasm exceeded our time limit at our last meetup!! So we’re making a few adjustments – a few less topics but more quality time for each! Here are just a few:

Blazing Big Picture– A lightening fast summary of the big picture and how to trade it! No time, no subscription…no problem – how to know in 2 minutes what sectors/groups in the market are moving!

Beginner Basics- An condensed five minute review of CAN SLIM key principals

Meetup Special Post Analysis! How to do it plus a review of some of the best & worst trades actual members have made (If you’re interested in sharing your trades please email your chart screen shots to us before May 21st!)

June’s Base Pattern– We identify base patterns that we’re seeing a lot of in the market over the last month and take a detailed look at how to trade it

Trading Psychology: We’ll briefly explore 4-6 additional unconscious biases that hurt profits

Action Watch List- We’re going to devote MORE time to sharing stocks we are stalking and trading ideas!

June’s Sell Signal- We’re going to take a detailed look how to protect profits by recognizing the Fast Pullback, Fast Recovery sell rule.

Motivational Five Minute Moment-A short success story & a phenomenal financial best seller that will change the way you view risk and profit

Rock'n Resource– One exceptional tool that will help accelerate your trading success

Extras – A brief update on website changes and group announcements

Both group organizers are volunteers – members just like you! We value your feedback and your participation! So help us grow & improve our meetup group by sharing your ideas & experience!

Bring as many friends or family members as you like! We hope to see you all there!!!

Finishing 'on schedule' was great because then there was time to chat with everyone a little bit after the meeting! ;-)

Review is always good, but I'd like to see something evaluating current stocks, such as a look-see at the IBD top 50 as well.

hey all I just joined I'm not in Tacoma yet but I will be soon. Don't know too much about stocks but I have done a little studying up on candlestick charts. I haven't jumped into the market yet but I plan on doing so once I'm back in Tacoma.

gmcr rose 42% inoking the hold for 8weeks. Since that high it has continued to drop. should i sell if it drops to a 30% gain. I think it is following the market, but my trigger finger is getting itchy

Harold no one can predict what a stock will do. But if it were me I would lock in at least some gains. Consider a trailing stop. How much profit are you willing to lose on the chance it will go up? You can always buy in again if it shows strength. Don't let a big profit turn into a break even or losing trade!

Sure Larry! You just look at the mini charts in IBD 50, Week in Review and Big Cap 20 list. The mini charts will tell you what the buy point is... if it isn't already extended. ;-)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
