Please wear adequate footwear and bring trail snacks and plenty of water for you and your dog. This is a moderate out and back hike so mileage will depend on when you turn around. I plan on doing at least 4 miles round trip (1300 ft elevation gain) but if the weather is nice may go the whole way (9 miles round trip and 2700 ft elevation gain). Hike time for 4 miles should take average hikers approximately 2.5 hours, 9 miles approximately 6.5 hours.

Agua Caliente Trailhead: From Tanque Verde Rd go east until Houghton Rd. Turn left onto Houghton Rd and after a short distance turn right onto Fort Lowell Rd. Follow this until nearly the end, into a development where Camino Remuda breaks off to the left. Take this and stay left onto Camino Cantil, continue to the trailhead on your right. Please plan on arriving 10-15 minutes early so we can start on time.

Hi Jana, sorry I did not respond sooner. I will be happy to give your shirt to George at the next hike she attends. Alternatively you are welcome to arrange a pick up with me directly.

Alayna this will be my first meet up. I'm familiar with this trail, Cheddar and I have done it several times. Should I plan on having him on leash the whole hike or will there be opportunity to have him off leash? I see photos of dog's off leash on some previous hikes.

Yes there are people that have there dogs off leash. Here are the guidelines in the group description: -You must be in control of your dog(s) at all times and they must be leashed when departing and approaching trailheads. Leashes should be a fixed length of 6' or less (if you use a retractable leash set it to a length of 6' or less). If you choose to unleash you dog(s) it must not disturb others.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
