Please wear adequate footwear and bring trail snacks and plenty of water for you and your dog. This is a a moderate loop hike on the Wild Burro, Alamo Springs and Lower Javelina Trails: approximately 6 miles in length and 1500 ft elevation change. We will meet at the Wild Burro Trailhead. Hike time should be around 3 to 3.5 hours for average hikers.

Wild Burro Trailhead: From W Tangerine Rd go north on N Dove Mountain Blvd. Take the first right right at the traffic circle onto N Secret Springs Drive. Stop at the Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain gate and tell them you are hiking, continue to the trailhead on your right. Please plan on arriving 10-15 minutes early so we can start on time.

I could have sworn I RSVP. Well maybe I made a mistake? Hope to go on the next one.

You are still welcome to RSVP to the waiting list. It is quite possible that someone listed as "attending" will change their RSVP.

    Hi Toni,
If someone cancels, the next person in line on the wait list will be notified. As for future hikes, they are announced as members volunteer their time to plan and then lead them. If you would like to lead a hike, I suggest you get in touch with Alayna.

I like dogs but I don't have one with me anymore. Is that ok?

Hi David, you can borrow one of mine for the hike!

Really? I never borrowed a dog before. That little dog is super cute! I'll be there. Thank you!

How does this trail compare to today's hike at Madera Canyon? Cooper really struggled with the rocks over the last mile or so and it seemed too much for him. He perked up every time he got into sand, though.!

I have only hiked the first mile of trail so can not comment on how it compares to the Bog/Kent Springs Loop.
