Please Answer Profile Question

Hello everyone!

I have added a profile question for new members :"How would you describe your hiking ability?"

It would be great if the current members would click on "My profile" and answer this question. These responses will be very helpful for planning hikes. I have posted my response to this question as an example below.

Here is my response as an example: "I'm interested in moderate to difficult hikes. I prefer to hike around 4-8 miles and generally don't like to do more than 14 miles in a day. I average 2 mph when hiking although am slower at elevation."

Thanks in advance!

10 miles would be a good limit. Been a hiking and MTB guide. It wouldn't hurt my dogs, they do that distance mountain biking at higher speeds. Average walking speed around 3 mph. I hike a lot at elevation, usually not a problem till well over 12000'.

It has been awhile since I have hiked so, beginning to moderate would be best. Elevation up to 6,000 ft for now then build up.
