Introduction
I wanted to meet other Taiwanese ppl but most importantly, to bring together others who want to do the same as well. To build a community awareness in the Washington metro area.
What could this club provide for you that no other Meetup group could?
Taiwan.
Which local restaurants would you like to go to? Please list some places, rather than "all" or "any".
Too many to name but I'm always up for more food. Good food.
What kind of activities would you enjoy attending with this group, or could you help us plan? We need your help and ideas.
I've done a whole bunch already. Karaokes, food, etc. I want to see more getaway trips to surrounding cities or areas.
How do you describe your level of Mandarin, Taiwanese or other dialects? Can you have conversation in Chinese?
very fluent in Mandarin but don't know much in Taiwanese or Hakka.
Tell us about your connection to Taiwan. Please talk about how much you have lived or traveled there.
Since 2000, I've been back almost every other year. Before that, twice, in a span of 17 years.

Are you still planning to go to Taiwan for vacation? I got my tickets through Malaysia Air, it's under 500 from LAX to TPE. I'm flying on he 16th of April and will be there for about 2 weeks. Maybe we can hang out there. :) -

I am getting a ride from ming-chau from this group who lives near me. He is gonna get me from columbia heights to drive over to the restaurant. oh so now we are meeting at your parent's place? ok i will just be sure to print out the directions before we leave
