January 27, 2012, Magic Passion Love & Divine Union!  Join artist, Joanne Morton at Divine Union as she passes through Tallahassee on the MPL-USA Art Tour.  The MPL-USA Art Tour is a traveling, interactive public art project to create (& display) the Mass Manifesting Mobile! The eventx are free.  There will be a raffle of art and other fun prizes to help raise money for the tour and the Divine-Union-Wellness, Art and Spiritual Co-op  The public is invited to help make a hanging mobile that is titled, “Mass Manifesting Mobile”. The Mass Manifesting Mobile is made up of a collection of circles (made from recycled boxes) that people hang together after writing their positive affirmations/intentions on them.

 

February 3, 2012 - 6:00pm - 9:00pm - First Friday Gallery Hop - Railroad Square.  COME GET A TAROT READING or REIKI HEALING for a donation.  Join thousands of locals for FF where most of the shops and studios are open for this lively event. Live music is played at several locations throughout the Park.  Some of the galleries offer refreshments and hors d'oeuvres. Larger galleries may feature exhibits from a variety of artists while smaller ones display their own new works.

 

***** February 4th, 2012, Imbolc Celebration, Join the Tribe Dogpile, the RHPC, and other members of your community to celebrate Imbolc.  Imbolc celebrates the fresh new stirrings of Springtime. This day is also sacred to the Goddess Brigid: patron of poets, healers and smiths.  What to bring: Yourself, any guests, something to drink, a dish to share. *****February 7, 2012, 7:30PM  Full Moon Chakra Ritual - We will be working on the Second/Sacral/Sex Chakra. Gather at 7:30, ritual at 8. Wear orange and bring an orange candle to charge on the altar (optional). Last year we started a series of Dark Moon rituals, working with a different chakra each moon to try and release whatever we needed to in order to clean and balance each chakra. In this new series, we will use the light and power of the Full Moon to bring into our lives what we need for healthy, well, and balanced chakras.  No knowledge of the Hindu chakra system or experience with Pagan ritual is necessary for you to join us. February 18, 2012 Candle-Dipping  For many years candles were the best and least expensive source of illumination. At the museum’s historic Bellevue Plantation, guests can practice making hand-dipped in candles the traditional method over an open fire.  In this hands-on activity participants will make samples that they may take home with them. Saturdays - 9:00 am - 10:30 am Chen Style Taiji with Alannah Chen Taiji in Tallahassee, the original style of the ancient Chinese art of Taiji. Regular practice improves muscle tone, promotes relaxation, sharpens mental focus, calms the emotions, and raises energy levels. Our class includes meditation, silk reeling exercises, qigong, the new frame long form and related studies. Although Chen style Taiji can take a lifetime to truly understand and master, the techniques are suitable for practitioners of all skill levels.
