Litha – Solstice Ritual.  This year Litha will be held at the Lake Jackson Indian Mounds, we’ll gather at 10:30am for an 11:00am ritual.  It’s hot out there folks!  Join us as we look to the Sun for a renewal.  Bring plenty of cold water, a blanket, bug spray, and a pot-luck dish to share. The mounds are a state park, entry fee is $3.00.  More details to come. ****


June 22, 2013, 6:30 – 11PMArtopia!  Now in its 14th year, Artopia is a charity art fundraising event that benefits Big Bend Cares. July 5, 2013 - 6:00pm - 9:00pm - First Friday Gallery Hop - Railroad Square.  Join thousands of locals for FF where most of the shops and studios are open for this lively event. Disguising his garage as an exclusive memorial for the popcorn luminary, Orville Redenbacher, Mr. Billows invites an unsuspecting audience to participate in its initial voyage. Seminole People of Florida: Survival and Success will be on display May 17 to August 18, 2013, at the Museum of Florida History in downtown Tallahassee. Museum admission and exhibit admission are free.

The Museum of Florida History worked with members of the Seminole Tribe, the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum, and other advisors to create a well-rounded exhibit. Seminole People of Florida: Survival and Success provides an insight into the rich Seminole history, culture, and artistic traditions from the mid–1850s to the present.
