The Tampa Ruby Brigade April Meetup

We are pleased to have a guest speaker this month.

Robert Dempsey, CEO of the (Rails) web development shop Atlantic Dominion Solutions, organizer of Acts as Conference and creator of expens'd will be our guest speaker this month.

Robert Dempsey will provide you with a full introduction to agile development with scrum: what is it and how it works. If you are involved in the creation of software as a developer, project manager, an end user, or a customer, this meeting is for you. While Robert is particularly fond of Ruby and Rails, this topic will be more wide ranging and applicable across languages and frameworks. What do you need to bring? Just yourself, and perhaps a friend or two.

Take I-275 to the Fowler Avenue exit (#51) and head east, or take I-75 south to the Fowler Avenue exit (#265) and head west. The main entrance to the university is at 4202 East Fowler Avenue.

- Once you pull in the USF main entrance, go straight past the first light.
- Go past the library (large building on your right) and take a right into the parking lot north of the library. [NOTE: Parking services doesn't seem to patrol the lot in the evenings, but you might want to read this as "No Lifeguard on Duty" or "YMMV"]
- The education building is north-east of the Library. You may need to park in the guest area in the parking garage. (Guest permit costs $4)

The Laptop Lounge is located in room EDU-252 in the Education Building at USF. Get to the second floor and walk around the perimeter hallway to the back side of the building where you should be able to find room EDU-252. If you need help finding it, call the room at (813) 974-6816.
