The battle to prevent President Obama and Congress's misguided healthcare reform resumes! We must pull out all the stops for the next couple of weeks to fight this. There are several things being planned.

Rep Michele Bachmann warned that the healthcare bill being released in the House is the "crown jewel of Socialism" which will result in 5.5 million jobs being lost. See http://www.youtube.co...

She is holding a press conference on the steps of the Capitol on Thursday, Nov 5 at noon. Then she will be asking all those who can make it, to walk the halls of Congress with her and implore on the politicians there to stop this deficit-ballooning legislation.

Several of you have asked if we could coordinate a bus to DC to join Rep Bachmann. I am pleased to announce that we are negotiating a bus trip to do just that. The cost will be only $135 per person in total! No need to book an expensive hotel! The bus leaves at 6pm on Wednesday, Nov 4 and should arrive at the Capitol at 9am on Nov 5. The return trip departs DC at 8pm.

As time is of the essence, we need your RSVP and payment by noon Tuesday, Nov 3. We need to fill 55 seats. Refunds will be processed if we cannot fill the bus. If you cancel on us, we cannot refund the payment.

Many members have been asking about a bus so I anticipate that seats may fill up quickly. We will open the seats to other 9-12/Tea Party/As A Mom groups in the area at noon on Monday Nov 2.

PS: Of course, when you pay you are always welcome to contribute an additional amount of your choosing to help sponsor a Patriot who may be out of work due to the Obama Recession.

THIS TRIP IS IMPORTANT - I will contribute $135.00 to a fund so that at least one other individual can attend. If you can't attend, how about contributing to another seat or seats?

My sincere thanks to all those Patriots who made the long trip to DC for the Bachmann rally! I know we all appreciate the sacrifice for our cause. We were with you in spirit! Blessings! And get some sleep!

What a great chance to meet with Patriots from here locally and from around the Country. The bus ride was a challenge but so very worth the effort. Everyone seemed to have a good time.

This was an impresive example of motivation and execution. Thank you all for the efforts you made, from Karen getting the bus rolling to Tim "cheerleading" along the way. And thank you to each individual who broke out of their daily responsibilities to add weight to the event. I suspect everyone slept for a day after getting home.

It was a long trip but worth it. It felt very good to know that we were doing our best to make a difference in this country. Everyone on bus got along great. Would do it again with these same people.

The bill of course passed but it still had a impact, I have no regrets.

The Tampa 9-12 Project leadership did an excellent job arranging the trip, particularly on such a short notice. Well done!! This was a great trip filled with like minded people who wanted to make their voiced heard and who earnestly want to keep a check on our government and hold elected officials accountable.

I've been thinking of how I feel about this event since we returned. First of all I would like to say Karen you are a rock star. The coordination and conditions were great. A big thank you. My thoughts coalesced while I handed out 9-12 organization cards at the Veteran's Day parade on Hanley today. I realized while I thought of those who served before me, with me and after I retired that we all took an oath upon entering the Armed Forces. In that oath we swore to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. I spent 24 years defending against foreigners. When I retired I just wanted to kick back and let thse who followed take care of things; but now, unfortunately, the Constitution is faced by domestic enemies and I must defend it. Thank you all for allowing me to become a membeer of an organization that seems to dedicated to this fight. I will be there for the Constitution as I can.

We had the ultimate showing of 912rs, Teaparty'rs, Patriots's and Moms! What a group! The trip was well planned and organized. The bus company personnel could not have been more responsive to our needs. Thanks to all!I feel blessed to have been among such a wonderful group of Americans. Thanks so much for the honor.

What an awesome trip! Something tells me that this is the only way to get noticed. I will keep going and some day soon we will have a MILLION people joining us!

This was my first meetup as a new member of Tampa 9-12, and of course did not know anyone nor did anyone know me. I would have benefited alot if I would have been able to join a couple of other people from the Tampa group. It would also been more effective and helpful to me especially, if a group of 3 or 4 had been preassigned to visit one or two of the house/senate members (especially those who were in favor of the govt run health program). Everything was kind of hit or miss.

A great rally. The actual numbers in attendance were much higher than reported by the press (as were the 9/11/09 D.C. rally.) Patriots were very enthusiastic, more so than I've ever seen at any rally. "Kill the bill" was a loudly chanted mantra, along with others. Congressmen were on the balconies looking down at the crowd. Great guest speakers. A lot of patriots visited with congressmen. It was nice not to have to drive, but we were like sardines in the bus seats. We had two drivers both coming and going. The driver from Bradenton to Fayetville, NC was excellent. The second driver between Fayetville and D.C. was very "herky jerky" on the brakes. On the return trip from D.C. to Fayetville, while most people were sleeping in the middle of the night, he left a few of us awake ones insecure with lane drifting, over correcting steering, and on the gas pedal - off the gas pedal movements. The organizers of this trip were wonderful and very helpful. Thank you so much.
