Have you ever performed music in front of an audience (not counting Karaoke or social jams)?

Yes, with a choir and with the St. Pete Shanties.

There's no requirement to play a musical instrument, but do you happen to play one, even as a beginner? If so, which?

Learning mountain dulcimer, autoharp and hammered dulcimer.

Who's your #1 favorite folk or folk-rock performer?

If I had to name one, Bob Dylan. But let's not overlook Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, Judy Collins, Simon and Garfunkel, Kate Wolf, Phil Ochs, Leonard Cohen, Dougie McLean, Nick Drake, all permutations and offshoots of the incomparable British folkies such as Steeleye Span, Fairport Convention, Pentangle, the Albion Band and the Incredible String Band...and so much more.

What are some of your favorite folk or folk-rock songs?

Dylan's If You See Her Say Hello. Steeleye Span's Lovely on the Water. Simon and Garfunkel's Only Living Boy in New York. Judy Collins' Who Knows Where the Time Goes. Neil Young's Ohio. Shirley Collins' Murder of Maria Marten. Nick Drake's Northern Sky. Richard Thompson's Mingualay Boat Song.

We warmly welcome guitars, hand drums and all stringed, wind and bellows instruments, especially harmonicas, fiddles and basses. Will you be playing an instrument at our gatherings?

Sure, I'll bring my mountain dulcimer, autoharp and percussive instruments occasionally.

Come sing and play with us!!!
