Ukulele Jam at Anderson Park!

Well, Mother Nature spoiled our uke jam at last month's picnic, but we won't let that deter us! This time we'll meet on the other side of Lake Tarpon at Anderson Park and get right to playing some tunes after taking a little while to hang out, tune up and enjoy some refreshments. Please bring along some snacks and non-alcoholic beverages to share.

We suggest that you bring along your copy of The Daily Ukulele, a music stand, a folding chair and anything else you think would be appropriate for an afternoon at the park (sunscreen, bug spray etc.).

We'll meet at 11:00am Shelter 3 at Anderson Park which is on US19 in Tarpon Springs and start things off with "Blue Skies". No one is allowed to play "Stormy Weather" or "Raindrops Keep Faillin' On My Head".

Very talented people who all knew each other previously. A bit unorganized with choices of what to play.

I had a wonderful time. The sun remained bright, the breeze refreshing; the food plentiful, interesting(as pot lucks are), and tasty. Steve was a great host, leading us in music and laughter. One of the best parts for me was his teaching us the order of chords to Night Train and being able to play without music, a primary goal for me. That is a kind of freedom for me. Thanks to all of you; I learn something new at all of these events. Now if I could only remember all those new techniques......

Great Jam with great folks. Lucky we had "cowboy boats" to sustain us through the delightful breeze from the lake.
